Description
The Leybold D40B is a Rotary Vane Pump, direct drive, oil-sealed vacuum pump designed for continuous operation to 760 Torr. They find use in a wide range of medium and medium-high vacuum applications characterized by the presence of corrosive or oxidizing gases. and can also be used as backing pumps for Roots pumps, diffusion pumps, turbo-molecular pumps and cryo-pumps. Leybold D40B vacuum pumps are rebuilt by JMI and offered with optional Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) controlled motors. The D40B pump will not require service as often with a VFD installed and will use 60% less power in most cases. VFD controlled pumps will last much longer on plasma etching systems that expose the D40B to caustic gases.
